Welcome to Drop Zone, a government approved recycling program of the National Television and Recycling Scheme (NTCRS).

Do you have an television, computer, printer or computer accessories that you don’t want?
We can help you recycle yours  for free!

Drop Zone provides a FREE recycling service for householders and small business to dispose of unwanted televisions, computers and computer products (such as printers, keyboards and mice), regardless of their age or brand.

All you need to do with your product is “drop it off

WHAT can I drop off?

Householders and small businesses can drop off for FREE the items listed below. Under no circumstances will products be returned once disposed of. All items will be recycled. Nothing is resold and all data will be destroyed through the process. Over 95% of the materials will be diverted from landfill and recovered and used to make new products.

What's accepted

Televisions

The types of products covered by the Scheme may include (but are not limited to):

All televisions, such as

  • – CRTs
  • – Plasma
  • – LCD
  • – Projection televisions

Computers

The types of products covered by the Scheme may include (but are not limited to):
  • – Personal Computers
  • – Laptops, notebooks, palmtops, tablets
  • – Computer monitors
  • – Parts for personal computers – for example internal hard drives, motherboards, cards, internal power supplies, CPUs, DVD CD drives

Computer peripherals

The types of products covered by the Scheme may include (but are not limited to):
  • – mice, keyboards
  • – joysticks
  • – game pads
  • – scanners
  • – web cameras

Printers

The types of products covered by the Scheme may include (but are not limited to):
  • – ink-jet
  • – dot matrix
  • – laser printers
  • – multi-functional devices

What's NOT accepted

Products that are not covered by the Scheme include:

  • Mobile Phones
  • Game Consoles (such as Microsoft Xbox’s or Sony Playstation’s)
  • Video Recorders
  • DVD players
  • Radios / stereos
  • Power tools
  • Appliances / Microwaves
  • Products that have been exposed to radiation, biological or chemical hazard
